Recycled Newspaper Coupon Statement Bracelet

This statement bracelet is handmade from expired newspaper coupons, incorporating an unexpected assortment of printed details—from bright advertising colors and bold graphics to UPC bar codes, expiration dates, and tiny lines of fine print. Once transformed into beads, these ordinary fragments create a lively mosaic of color, typography, stripes, numbers, and text.

More than 1,200 individual beads are handmade from the recycled newspaper coupons and then meticulously hand-stitched together. The colorful beads mingle with black-and-white printed details in an intricate pattern that invites a closer look, while rows of lighter newspaper beads frame the bracelet along its edges.

The entire piece is hand-stitched on comfortable elastic cord, allowing this substantial statement bracelet to slip easily over the hand while maintaining its sculptural form.

Measuring approximately 6.8" in circumference and 2.4" high, the bracelet is a celebration of transformation—taking something as temporary and disposable as an expired coupon and giving it an entirely new purpose as a distinctive piece of wearable art.
