Handmade Recycled Newspaper Chain Necklace

A classic jewelry form is reimagined in an unexpected material in this distinctive Recycled Newspaper Chain Necklace.

Each necklace begins with hundreds of tiny beads individually handmade from recycled newspaper. The beads are meticulously stitched together to create a series of dimensional, interlocking links—my artistic interpretation of the traditional chain necklace. What appears from a distance to be a bold, substantial chain reveals, upon closer inspection, an intricate composition made almost entirely from paper.

Because the original newspaper imagery remains visible within the beads, every necklace becomes a one-of-a-kind collage of fragments, colors, typography and imagery. No two pieces will ever be exactly alike.

Despite its dramatic appearance, the necklace is remarkably lightweight and comfortable to wear. A durable stainless steel clasp provides a secure, contemporary finish.
