News Headlines Recycled Newspaper Bracelet
The news of the day, transformed into a bold piece of contemporary jewelry.
This striking bracelet is handmade from recycled newspaper news headlines, capturing fragments of words, letters and typography and giving them an entirely new life as wearable art.
Each newspaper headline is carefully selected and transformed into individual handmade beads. The graphic black-and-white newspaper beads are stitched alongside sleek stainless steel beads, creating a rhythmic pattern of typography and metal that feels both modern and timeless.
Look closely and you'll discover partial words, letters and pieces of stories scattered across the bracelet. What once communicated the events of a particular day becomes something entirely different when removed from its original context—a graphic composition of type, pattern and texture.
The beads are individually hand-stitched onto comfortable elastic cord, allowing the bracelet to slip easily over the hand and fit comfortably around the wrist.
Because every bracelet is made from actual newspaper headlines, no two are exactly alike. The words, letters and placement of the typography will vary from piece to piece, making each bracelet an original work of wearable art.
