Competition becomes collaboration in this bold, one-of-a-kind statement bracelet.

Handmade from recycled newspaper advertisements for four major cell phone companies, the bracelet brings together the distinctive colors once used to compete for our attention: T-Mobile pink, Sprint yellow, AT&T orange, and Verizon black. Removed from their original advertisements and transformed into hundreds of tiny beads, the competing identities become part of a single, unexpectedly harmonious design.

The inspiration behind the piece comes from the constantly changing telecommunications industry—companies competing, evolving, acquiring, and merging. Here, those once-separate visual identities are quite literally woven together, creating something stronger and more visually compelling because of their differences.

More than 1,200 individual recycled newspaper beads are handmade and meticulously hand-stitched together on comfortable elastic cord. Despite its dramatic 3-inch-wide silhouette, the bracelet is surprisingly lightweight and comfortable to wear.

Each bead retains a fragment of its former life, but together they become something entirely new—a wearable reflection on competition, connection, transformation, and the aesthetic strength that can emerge when separate identities come together.
